Each snackpack costs $7.50. Please consider sponsoring some bags to help defray the cost of this worthwhile event. Make your check payable to Community Church and place it in the offering plate with a note in the memo for “Snackpack”
Hunger Hurts
Many children who receive free or reduced-price school meals are left without adequate nutrition when school is not in session. Center for Food Action’s (CFA) Weekend Snack Pack Program (WSPP) is designed to fill this gap by providing healthy, kid-friendly, and easy to prepare snack foods to children at risk of hunger.
CFA provides everything we need, deliver the items, organize the event and pick up the finished packs to distribute to the participating schools.
