2022 Snack Pack Challenge

Our Weekend Snack Pack Event Was a Success!

On Thursday, August 25th, CCHP participated in a Snack Pack Challenge for the Center for Food Action. This is a wonderful outreach event that brings together many volunteers from the community, including children! We have since received this lovely note from the Center for Food Action:

Another great Weekend Snack Pack Event at the Community Church pf Harrington Park. It’s always a pleasure to kick off the school year assembling 1,000 packs with your team. Everyone worked together with a smile on their face to pack bags in record time. Quality control was amazing!

Our families are grateful for your generous support, and we are excited to include you as a sponsor in our 9/11 Day of Service. Providing students with this extra food helps to give them a better chance for a successful school year.

Thank you to all who donated and came out to help! It was a great morning with about 70 people helping. At the end of the day, we packed 5,000 snack packs!

About CFA’s Weekend Snack Pack Program

Many children who receive free or reduced-price school meals are left without adequate nutrition when school is not in session. CFA’s Weekend Snack Pack Program (WSPP) is designed to fill this gap by providing healthy, kid-friendly, and easy to prepare snack foods to children at risk of hunger.
